Holding of the Annual General Meeting on August 8, 2020, of EMS-CHEMIE HOLDING AG:

The Federal Council has stipulated that major events involving more than 1,000 people will not be permitted until the end of August 2020. With more than 2,500 participants, the Annual General Meeting of EMS-CHEMIE HOLDING AG planned for August 8, 2020, cannot therefore take place as usual in a marquee on the Domat/Ems site. For this reason, the Board of Directors has decided to hold the official statutory part without shareholders present and by means of prior written instructions for the independent proxy.

Shareholders can nonetheless still enjoy the popular entertainment programme of the Annual General Meeting this year. Shareholders can follow, via an online transmission, the speeches of Ulf Berg (Chairman of the Board of Directors) and Magdalena Martullo (Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO), as well as attractive employee presentations on innovations with EMS resins. As a musical highlight, the renowned Graubünden soloist ensemble Compagnia Rossini will also give an online concert to mark their fortieth anniversary.

The invitation with the agenda for the Annual General Meeting and the instruction forms for the independent proxy will be posted to shareholders in mid-July 2020. The entertainment programme of the Annual General Meeting will be available to shareholders online at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at www.emsgv.ch.

The Board of Directors is convinced that, by proceeding in this way, both the great interest of shareholders in the EMS business and the significance of the Annual General Meeting as a ‘public festival’ are being considered in the best possible way. The Annual General Meeting on August 7, 2021, will be held in the well-established format at the Domat/Ems site and with plenty of chances for face-to-face contact.
